Job Description

The Senior Analyst role will support the Director of Analytics & Insights by providing analysis and reporting for the Digital Strategy Organization and other business units across AARP. As DSO becomes more committed and focused to improving the user experience thru content personalization, this position will play a critical role in managing website optimization and relevancy of online content and offers via A/B and multivariate testing and audience targeting strategies. As part of AARPs central digital analytics organization, the Senior Analyst will lead a variety of other initiatives including completing analysis projects for AARPs executive leadership and other key stakeholders of web data, managing tag-based implementations on behalf of the businesses, and providing end-user training and education on analytics tools such as Adobe SiteCatalyst.

Job Responsibilities include:
Drive core insights from the data to suggest, create and execute a test and learn plan that drives fundamental improvements to the site experience and increases in performance against KPIs.

Create digital dashboards and summary reports for presentations to management and various AARP business units;

Provide ad hoc reports and analysis to quantify the impact of campaigns and other major initiatives;

Provide recommendations to support the continual improvement of editorial, marketing, and technology efforts based on quantified data;

Collaborate with external data partners, agencies, and vendors to assist with data collection, reporting, and campaign tagging;

Provide a high level of expertise with data collection technologies and its implementation in a business context (i.e. Adobe SiteCatalyst and Data Warehouse, Ad Hoc Analysis, Test&Target, and Dynamic Tag Management);

Ideal Qualifications
Direct experience with A/B and/or multivariate testing technologies is highly desired. The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in AARPs testing and optimization plan, managing the test and learn plan from creation to execution.

The ideal candidate will be strong on SiteCatalyst, including demonstrated experience with implementation, set-up, management, and use of SiteCatalyst. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of hands on experience with Adobes SiteCatalyst, Data Warehouse, and Ad Hoc tools. Previous certification on Omniture technology is highly desired.

Direct experience with Google Analytics is not required but is highly desired;

Strong project management skills and the ability to own complex analysis projects is required.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to interact easily with all levels of end-users and technical resources is required.

Three to five years of business analysis experience in large companies working with multiple stakeholders and supporting often complex decision making processes is highly desired.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with senior management is required.

Direct experience working with outside consultants on technology and strategy projects is desired.

Direct experience in a media-focused environment is desired but reasonable experience in any vertical will be considered.
